An eye on tradition and modernity: in the development of the Carina series, the success of series 240 was acknowledged and, at the same time, the view of modernity was addressed. JET tweeters, special woofer chassis, elaborate crossovers – the goal was from the beginning a powerful, rousing and at the same time natural, dynamic sound.

All this is offered by the Carina series and, in addition, a fresh, elegant look with silky matt finishes.

Jet Folded Ribbon Tweeter

ELAC’s JET tweeters enthrall with its lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range, offering minimal distortion, lots of headroom and a wider frequency range.

Sophisticated Compound Curvature Aluminum Woofer

To match the capabilities of the JET tweeter the compound curvature cone has been developed to control the cone breakup and move it well beyond the operating range of the woofer.

Downward Firing Port

For a more flexible speaker placement the bass reflex port on the Carina series is directed to the floor, exiting the bottom of the speaker cabinet in a down-fi ring configuration.
