Quad 2905/2805 Restoration – Hope but expensive

As most of you know, the Quad 2905/2805 and also the previous model 989 and 988 had a few SERIOUS issues

1. Stator glue just lets go. The stators loosen and touch the Mylar and there, speaker stuffed
2. The Mylar is stretched too much and tears in the corners due to uneven stress
3. The Mylar starts “pitting” and little anthills for with little hole in middle, arching away.

A new distributor in offers some hope. At about R4500/ panel (x12) one can have a BRAND new set of Quad 2905’s.
