Description

The Concentro story continues

ELAC, the renowned German audio manufacturer celebrating its 99th anniversary!! Debuted the Concentro M 807 Floorstanding Loudspeaker at High End Munich 2025, setting a new standard for high-fidelity audio. This luxurious addition to the Concentro series combines cutting-edge technology, iconic design, and meticulous engineering, making it a standout for audiophiles seeking uncompromising sound quality. Showcased in Atrium 4.1, Rooms F102 and F103, the Concentro M 807 has already captured the attention of the high-end audio community.

Revolutionary VXe Technology for Tailored Sound

The Concentro M 807 introduces ELAC’s groundbreaking VXe technology, a two-dimensional, circular array of six ultra-compact, high-performance midrange drivers surrounding the acclaimed JET 6c tweeter. This innovative setup allows for precise adjustment of the speaker’s directivity, offering 25 customizable settings via a rear-mounted rotary switch. This adaptability ensures optimal sound dispersion tailored to any room’s acoustics, delivering a balance of direct and diffuse sound that suits individual listening preferences. Whether in a compact living space or a dedicated listening room, the Concentro M 807 promises a pristine, immersive audio experience.

Unmatched Audio Performance

Designed as a four-way loudspeaker, the Concentro M 807 boasts a frequency range of 22 Hz to 50 kHz, making it ideal for Hi-Res Audio playback. The speaker features two 250mm AS-XR aluminum sandwich woofers in a push-push/pull-pull configuration, ensuring deep, controlled bass without cabinet vibration. Paired with two midrange drivers and the JET 6c tweeter, the system delivers exceptional clarity, dynamic range, and pinpoint imaging. The meticulously engineered crossover network, crafted at ELAC’s Kiel facility, ensures seamless integration of all drivers for a cohesive soundstage.

Sculptural Design Meets Acoustic Excellence

True to the Concentro series’ legacy, the M 807 blends art and engineering. Its sleek, aluminum chassis, available in high-gloss black or white finishes, is both visually striking and acoustically optimized, minimizing resonance. The speaker’s compact footprint, supported by a solid metal base with adjustable feet, ensures stability and “living room compatibility” without sacrificing performance. Drawing inspiration from the original Concentro, introduced nine years ago, the M 807 refines its predecessor’s curvaceous aesthetic while incorporating modern design cues from ELAC’s Vela series.

Crystal Membrane Midbass: Built Like a Diamond, Hits Like a Sledgehammer

ELAC’s crystal membrane driver doesn’t just look like it was grown in a Bond villain’s lab—it acts like it too. The faceted surface stiffens the aluminum dome for lower distortion and higher dynamics, while the sandwich construction shrugs off coloration. Throw in long-excursion surround design and a voice coil that’s basically an overachiever, and you’ve got a driver that punches out high-SPL without flinching. It’s brutal—but beautiful.

JET 6 Tweeter: Speed Kills (Distortion)

Then there’s the JET 6 tweeter—ELAC’s crown jewel of high-frequency precision. Unlike soft dome tweeters that can blur transient detail, the JET 6 uses a folded ribbon Air Motion Transformer design for ultra-fast response and wide dynamic range. It moves air with far less excursion, resulting in lower distortion, higher efficiency, and treble extension well beyond the limits of human hearing.

VXe Technology

Experience Acoustic Innovation

At the heart of the CONCENTRO M 807 lies ELAC’s pioneering VXe (Variable Coaxial Electric) technology. Designed to deliver unmatched clarity and spatial realism, VXe employs a circular array of six ultra-compact A-XR (Aluminum – eXten-ed Range) midrange drivers, meticulously arranged to create an acoustically perfect ring radiator.

Stunningly precise imaging and a faithful recreation of spatial detail that brings your music to life

Down-Firing Bass Reflex System

Reduced Resonance for Easy Placement

Designed to enhance both performance and placement flexibility, the down-firing bass reflex system delivers deep, impactful bass while minimizing unwanted resonance and room-induced coloration. By directing low frequencies downward, it ensures more consistent performance across a wider range of room positions—making it easier to integrate powerful bass into any space without compromising clarity or balance.

Crystal Membrane Driver

Engineered for Low Distortion

Based on ELAC’s Aluminum-Sandwich AS Technology. Resembling the surface of a large crystal, the aluminum-foil stamping stiffens the aluminum dome, diminishing resonances and minimizing coloration, while improving power handling and dynamics. The voice coil design of the drivers results in an expanded frequency range, and driver surround allows for longer cone excursions for truly prodigious volume and lowest distortion, a unique engineering achievement for a driver of its size.

Dual 250mm Woofers That Don’t Ask—They Demand

The Concentro M 807 isn’t here for background music. It’s armed with dual 250mm (10″) aluminum sandwich woofers that are impulse-compensated—because one massive driver shaking the cabinet just wasn’t extreme enough. This setup delivers subterranean bass without the mud or bloat. It’s the kind of low-end that makes your walls sweat but somehow keeps it tight, clean, and surgical. Thunder with manners.

ELAC knows most rooms aren’t acoustically treated palaces. That’s why the M 807 fires its bass downward like it’s laying carpet bombs under your floorboards—without the usual corner chaos. The down-firing bass reflex system minimizes room-induced resonance and helps these beasts behave wherever you park them. Apartment dwellers, you’ve been warned.
